“Reality Disappoints Me”, 2022

Charcoal on paper, 18x24in

This piece was a reflection on my experience during the pandemic and the way that I turned to my imagination for solace. As things slowly returned to a quasi normal state, I found myself having a hard time accepting the world around me. In the end, I created this piece when I was feeling the most underwhelmed by my life, and the way my imagination was the only place I felt I could explore the world.
